AQHA Regional Championship Shows

The American Quarter Horse Association offers six opportunities for exhibitors to show at a Merial Regional Championship Show every year. The locations are:

Region 1: Monroe, Washington

Region 2: Rapid City, South Dakota

Region 5: Logan Township, New Jersey

Region 6: Springfield, Massachusetts

Region 8: Amarillo, Texas

Region 9: Jackson, Mississippi

These shows are a great way to compete with top notch exhibitors and win phenomenal prizes from the team of AQHA corporate partners. The divisions offered are level 1 youth/amateur, youth 14-18, youth 13 and under, amateur, rookie, select, and open. Montana Silversmith Buckles are awarded to the winners of classes in the level 1 youth/amateur, rookie, and select amateur. All-around winners of each of those divisions also receive a buckle.

AQHA members can compete at whichever Regional Championship they choose, but may only be at one a year. Contact the region of your choice for more information. With the exception of rookie and Level 1 classes, youth, amateur and select competitors may only show owned or leased horses as defined in the AQHA Official Handbook of Rules and Regulations.
